![]() Agnes is the only one that trusts him wholeheartedly. Gru sees the girls as pawns in an evil scheme, while Edith and Margo see Gru as some creepy bald guy. Their life and relationship with Gru begin rather shakily. She is also tomboyish since she loves sports, action, gadgets, dangerous stuff, and ninjas, despite her tomboyish personality, she has shown signs of being girly, since in the first and third film portrayed her as a damsel in distress, and how she wears nothing but pink all the time, and how she does ballet like her sisters. Eew!" when Margo and Antonio go out on a date with each other, and when Gru and Lucy kiss at their wedding. She also expresses disgust at romance due to her age, saying "Can I be the first to say. She had also apparently learned Japanese, as she responds in Japanese ("Hai!") when Gru warns her not to destroy anything at the Cinco de Mayo party. She appears athletic and agile in the second film, and proficient with many weapons and fighting techniques, including the katana and nunchaku. Edith is also good at ballet, and loves doing it with her sisters. In response to his answer, she kicks him in the shin and runs off. Nefario responds with, "Do you want to explode?". She breaks glass bottles with foreign substances in them, plays with Gru's weapons, and at some point, pokes at one of the bottles and asks, "Can I drink this?" at which Dr. Upon seeing all of Gru's weapons and torture devices, her dark, destructive nature is shown when she nonchalantly walks into an iron maiden and starts playing with Gru's dangerous weapons in his lab. In the beginning, she is reserved and quiet being opposed to the idea of being an adopted child. She shares many traits with Gru, being very mischievous, and sports a macabre sense of humor. I used edible silver decorating spray to give the goggles a little sheen, and small sugar pearls to add the mischievous glint in their eyes.Edith is currently the least explored of the three sisters, which is understandable considering she's the middle child, the likes of which are stereotypically neglected by their parents. ![]() The purple guys are basically the same thing, but with purple substituted in where required. One large yellow circle for the face, with layered circles for the eyes (white base with brown irises and black pupils), and a gray ring for the goggles. Minions are surprisingly simple little creatures they’re really just a variety of circles. ![]() So, if you haven’t tried Fondarific yet, I would recommend it based on my experience with it. ![]() I ended up using Wilton rolled fondant for the black, and in a side-by-side comparison the Wilton was definitely not as tasty and, IMO, more difficult to roll. And can I say that it rolls out like a dream? I needed very little powdered sugar to keep it from sticking, which helped in keeping the colors looking clean (and not dusty, lol). It also had a really nice texture in my mouth, similar to marshmallow. The buttercream flavor is actually quite tasty and doesn’t have the chemical aftertaste that I associate with bakery fondants. When it arrived, I gave it a small taste to see what the fuss was about, and was very pleasantly surprised. However, this project required it, so I did some searches for one with the best flavor and most every recommendation on that score was for a brand called Fondarific. Now, I don’t usually care for fondant – it looks very nice, but on the occasions when I’ve been served something with fondant on it I always end up picking it off. Both recipes came together very quickly, which is exactly what I wanted, since I needed to save my energy for cutting out all those decorations! I also used this recipe for smash cake from Barbara Bakes, which was perfectly scaled for a 4″ cake. I used my recent chocolate snack cake sans chocolate chips to make the cupcakes, and it gave me exactly 24 cupcakes. The cake is chocolate with French buttercream. Behold: MINIONS! Aren’t these the cutest? I made them for a friend’s daughter’s 1st birthday party, and they were a hit.
